Cardmaking

This is another card with the same idea as in the previous post. Using the gypsy font also for the flowers and leaves. Loved the glitter paper for the cuts.. Embossed the white card stock with the Swiss dots folder.
The Happy Birthday is from a stamp with the corners trimmed with a punch. I use my rotary cutter and ruler to cut my rectangles rather than a paper cutter. It is a habit since I am a sewer and quilter, I find it easier for me. I cut the words out and then glue to a background color, use the 1/8" makings on my ruler to cut around the square, then punch the corners.

Cardmaking

Created on the Gypsy, using glitter paper for the leaves, flower and thanks. I cut the flower and leaves twice so that I could line it up on the inside so that when you opened the card it was the same. The flower and leaves hold the two front panels together. Just playing around with a different idea. Opened card that has the stem showing through to the front

Cardmaking

Another card using Zooballo! This time the card was cut out of the yellow card stock and the brown layer was cut 1/2" larger. The word "Joshua" was cut from Plantin Schoolbook using the End Caps feature. Also made this card before the Gypsy but thought I would share today.

Cardmaking

Another card from Zooballo but this time it was made for my grandson. It was a 5" x 5" card and the stripe paper was cut an eighth of an inch smaller. I used white brads for the eyes of the alligator but added black marker. This was done before the Gypsy so trying to get the layers cut and fit took more time. On page 70 of the handbook, I cut the Happy Birthday and frame. For small items to be glued, they have a Zip pen that you can glue small items. Also cut the grass from this cartridge but had to trim to fit.

Cardmaking

This card was also created with the card making feature from Zooballo. I outlined the Happy Birthday with a fine line marker. The hat came from Zooballo page 69 and the balloons, cake were cut from Stretch Your Imagination. These were one of my first cartridges when I bought the Cricut.
The sentiment was added later to the inside of the card.

Birthday Card

A few years ago when I first bought my Cricut, they had a contest to submit a card with directions to be included. This was the card that I had made with a matching envelope, somewhere are the exact directions for this card but I did use Zooballo for the card, envelope and branch for the leaves The inside of the card also had the branch and flower to coordinate with the front. I've learned so much since starting my hobby of paper crafting thanks to so many people on the message boards, yahoo groups, and blogs. I find that I am reading more than I am doing though in recent months.

Birthday Card

Card made using the Smiley Cartridge that was an exclusive to the Gypsy. I did weld the blackout feature to create the shaped card although on this photo it looks like it was put on white card stock. This could only be done in the Gypsy since this cartridge was a free update. Cute images on the cartridge.

Embellished with two different Cuttlebug folders (Devine swirls and Swiss Dots) Stickles were added.
