I ran everything through the Cuttlebug folders that I bought at Pat Catans and have that graphic feeling. "Happy Birthday" was cut from the Gypsy Wanderings, "50" was from Blackletter and the border was cut from Paper Lace cartridges to fit on the 4.5" x 6.25" card.
Cardmaking and papercrafting using the Cricut and Cuttlebug. Also, sewing, quilting and machine embroidery will be mostly featured on this blog.

50th Birthday
This was a quick card that I made right before leaving for the party. I didn't want to make it too much of a joke card but did include the 50 on the card.

All the sayings were stamped from a set and I couldn't decide which one to use so I did most of them.

1st Birthday Card
For this card, I used my Gypsy to get the sizes that wanted starting with the card cut @ 5.5" with the scallop card on page 52 in the Wild Card book. Next came the circle to cover the middle section of the card front which was cut @4.75" from George and used the Swiss Dots folder to emboss. The next step was to open another page on the Gypsy to get my sizing for the cupcake on the Baby Steps cartridge which I found that 4" was a good size. I cut all the layer mostly by the suggestions in the book except that I didn't like the green. I ran the light pink through the Cuttlebug with the D'vine Swirls folder and the dark pink with the Distressed Stripes folder.
I also cut the blackout feature of the card and cut it in half so that it would cover the ribbon on the backside of the card because the ribbon was not reversible. Added the Stickles to finish the look and a stone for the center of the flower. Ever so slightly, on the white of the candle I did add 1st and outline with a gel pen.

Happy Spring
Spring is almost here and this card was created after such a long winter. Maybe I should have put "Welcome Spring".
The robin and egg was a cut from the new cartridge Kate's ABC's that I finally found at Joann's. One of the hardest cartridges to find since I still have it on my notify from the online store since January but found it in the store.
Using the gypsy, I put the rectangle on the screen from George at 4.25" x 5.5" which is the finished size of the card. I do this so that I could size the robin cut size to fit in the space. Then I delete the rectangle after designing.
I did run the background blue card stock with the d'vine swirls folder and then the green through the distressed stripes folder.
The "happy" was cut from gypsy Wanderings with the hide feature to hide birthday and then the "Spring was also cut from the same cartridge.

Masculine birthday cards
SNOW DAY!(again)
So I Decided to work on some more "guy cards" I just bought the Paper Lace cartridges yesterday and while looking through the booklet, I found a few cuts that would make guy type cards.
Not always happy with the papers that I have, I found this hounds tooth print in gray, cream and bright green and searched for a few solids to match. The "Happy birthday cream color was cut from page 53 Lace 2 @ 3 3/4" and the shadow from gray card stock and then run through the Cuttlebug. Thought it needed something so I cut a rectangle out of the green also at 3 3/4" and mounted it using pop dots for raised effect. It does extend above the card at the top and bottom.
The next card using the same paper is from page 46 Lace 1 cut @ 1.70"( sized to fit the width of 5.5" of the A 2 card on the Gypsy. Also the shadow was cut from gray card stock. Using George I cut the HAPPY out at about 1", and the BIRTHDAY at .70 real size dial was on for both cuts. I ended up cutting strips of green to mount the letters to the card because I felt the print was too busy to handle the letters.
The third card was cut from page 49 @ 1 7/8" but I did change my mind in the size of the card so I ended up cutting the last section off with scissors. I thought it looked too plain so again I ran it through the Cuttlebug but still needed something and found these gray brads in the middle squares. The Happy Birthday was cut from Gypsy Wanderings but increased the size of the "birthday" on the Gypsy

Cardmaking
Created on the Gypsy, using glitter paper for the leaves, flower and thanks. I cut the flower and leaves twice so that I could line it up on the inside so that when you opened the card it was the same. The flower and leaves hold the two front panels together. Just playing around with a different idea.

Easter card
This is one of my quickie cards using just what I had left on my table after other projects. The background is just printed paper that I put under the card but it really does look like it is part of the card.
The blue card stock is embellished with the D'vine Swirl folder. It was leftover from a circle cut on another project and just glued onto a Easter paper.
Added the flower cut from Gypsy Wanderings cartridge oval shape(3.25"W x 2.22H") and then embossed with the Swiss Dots folder. Added a blue stickles to the dots.
The white scalloped oval also from GW cut @ 5.35"H x 3.39"W.
The lettering was from A Childs Year. Easter was welded with the happy(which was already a design that had all small letters and had a finished height of 1.64". Since I decided to separate the words on this card, I just snipped where they were welded. Pink stickles was used on the lettering.
The scallop was from a Martha Stewart punch that I just bought and is actually punched on the back side of the card.

Easter Egg Cards
Two more cards that were made on the gypsy. I did run both of them through the Cuttlebug Swiss dots folder
Not shown in the picture on these egg shaped cards was that I trimmed about a 1/4" off the bottom so that they would stand on their own.

Easter egg cards
Using my Gypsy, I created these cards because I couldn't find the newest Easter cartridge. using the follow cartridges: Doodlecharms, Gypsy Wanderings, Plantin Schoolbook, Walk in my Garden and A Childs Year for the words.
The flowers were from Gypsy Wanderings and were cut @ 1.22" and were rotated on each cut flower.
The leaves were from Walk In My Garden and cut @1.39 x .48 " and also rotated for each of the cuts.
The Egg shape was cut from Doodlecharms and has to be a separate cut because the flowers and leaves extend over the border. The size was 6.14 x 18.16".
The circles were from Plantin Schoolbook and were cut from .26" and .48" to be used as fillers.
This was my first cut and I couldn't just let it go to waste so I cut out the purple paper and glued it on the front folded paper and then trimmed to leave the egg shape. Glued the green leaves in the cutout section after I ran them through the Cuttlebug. Stickled the leaves and Happy Easter and added the gems to the center part.

Thanks card
I just bought this Martha Stewart Punch the other day ( actually a corner and border punch in one). The only thing is with this punch, you have to cut your paper a certain size in order for it to work so I just used the corner punch on two different papers.
This card was inspired by a project in one of the new cartridges that was just announced. A tri fold using the same colors as the other cards posted earlier. I did use Storybook cartridge for the black border (fancy corner N floral on page 41 of the handbook)2" and then the middle was cut in half (W fancy corner on page 50)
" Thanks"was cut from Gypsy Wanderings. I did have black velvet ribbon and put it through a slider created with Christmas Cheer. A small flower was also cut from GW and glued to the ribbon.

Snowflakes
This year my daughter is in a wedding and the shower is next week so we have been working on snowflakes which is the theme.
In this picture is the box I created on the Gypsy, It is approximately 4.25" square by 3/4 in deep. The box is for the cookies that my daughter's future mother in law is making. I welded a snowflake in the center of the box and then cut several sizes of snowflakes and attached them with a brad, then added stickles on them. We made over 70 boxes.

These are them lined up on the dining room table stacked five high.
