Christmas in July

Some of my last cards to share today. This house was from Winter Woodland on page 44 that I welded in the Gypsy. Made also in other colors such as a green roof and different patterned paper for the main house. I did size it to fit in an envelope that I had. I went to a class at Archievers and this is one of the cards that used a stamp set. Embossing for the trees and markers were used for the house. Also did several cards using different colors for the house and trees.

The two Season's Greetings cards were made from Winter Woodland. Adding Stickles.

This time the cartridge did the work for these cards by having them welded in the center. The card and tag feature were used. For the inside of card, I just used a holly paper.

Christmas in July

WOW! Almost the end of July! The next two cards have two views, the closed and the open showing. This basic card instructions are from:

The snowmen and "Let It Snow are from Winter Woodland that were sized to fit in the Gypsy. The snowflakes are from the leftover from the shower and used various sizes. Stickles were also added for the bling.

The scallopped circle for this card was also cut from Winter Woodland and then run through the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder.

Christmas in July

I just loved these snowmen on page 46 and 47 from Winter Woodland so I did arrange several on the Gypsy to cut when I first got this cartridge. When you have time, it is always a good idea to cut several images so you can make quick cards, this is one of them.

Taking a A 2 card, I just found the stripe paper and cut to fit the front.
Glued the snowmen and added a Joy to the top which has Stickles. It was cut from Joys of the Seasons. The second card was a welded snowman on the Gypsy to a rectangle from George. all the snowflakes were "leftovers" from the shower earlier in 2010 and just added to the front along with a JOY cut from silver paper. I did add those stones to the front of the snowman and I know they are too big but at the time that is all I had available...

Family Love

This is the layout that I created for the Spotted Canary challenge. It is my first layout for a scrapbook page that I have created on my own.
I did one one other time when I went to Achievers but that was something they planned and I
still didn't add any pictures to that one.

I used Double sided paper from K & Company which I love.

I cut a 9.25" scalloped circle from Winter Woodland and cut it at 5" and used the pink side for the main layout and the rose color was about 4" for the other page.

I took a 12" strip of green paper and punched both sides with a Martha Stewart border punch and applied the lace trim to the center.

The flowers were cut from Elegant Cake on page 42 and using the Gypsy, I used the hide feature for the leaves and cut @ 2.5", 2", and 1.5" with the center circles cut @ 1.25", 1", and 5/8" and attached with a pop dot to add dimension.

The wording came from the paper that I fussy cut and applied after I inked the edges. The words on the bottom were attached using a pop dot to stand out from the flowers.

On the second page, I used the same flowers on the pink border that I used the same punch as the first page and also the green strip on the bottom.
Using a heart card that I made and am using to journal on the inside of the card. The bottom rectangles are for wallet size pictures to be added.

This is a photo of the planning stage as you can see I changed things a little bit from the finished page.

Two different views of the same card are today's Christmas card. This style seem to be very big when it comes to making cards. Two layers of the background were cut and then applied on the different sections. Designing this on the Gypsy after you cut the sections is very helpful to get the sizing of the snowmen and other elements. Love the snowmen from this cartridge with added Stickles to the snowmen and snowflakes. The best part of this card is when it is fully opened and you can see all the different cuts that you've made.

Christmas card

This is the first card that I sent out this year to a very special cousin. It seems every year she sends her cards out to arrive the day after Thanksgiving so I just had to send it ti arrive before the Holiday. The bird and branch were from Winter woodland cartridge. The white card stock was run through the Snowflakes folder for the Cuttlebug after I had cut out the scalloped rectangle. It was then enlarged by 1/4" and cut out of red paper.
The Merry Christmas was a stamp that I had from many years ago and used pens to color the red and green and brown, then used a scallop punch and colored the edges. The final touch was Stickles to the snowflakes and the berries and branch.

Cardmaking

Easter card created from Wild Card cartridge. It is the Doily on page 52 which I changed the size to fit in a 4.25 x 5.5" envelope which is more common to mail.
I had the checked ribbon and wove it through the cut holes. Added a oval shape of pink polka dot paper. The bunny is from Winter Woodlands put through the cuttle but with the swirls pattern, then added Stickles on the swirls. for the nose and mouth I used small stones.
